Election Result Offers Opportunity for Coherent Energy Policy

The German Atomic Forum welcomes the outcome of the Bundestag elections. Given the basically widespread agreement between the partners of the new government coalition, an opportunity now arises for a sustainable and coherent long-term energy policy; this would allow for a broad energy mix with the inclusion of nuclear energy. The point now must also be to put an end once and for all to the factionalism surrounding final disposal and to reach a long-term solution.
